Eight Miles Away – The Exhibition and the Auction!

The interest worldwide in these paintings and the Eight Miles Away idea of using eight pictures to help eight homeless people has been extraordinary. Here are details on how you can view and now own one of the original paintings.

Eight Steps

• Despite COVID lockdown, the seven remaining paintings will still be exhibited at the British Airways i360 Viewing Tower in Brighton, UK ( BN1 2LN) between Nov 5th and 22nd.  The paintings will be displayed behind glass windows from outside. The exhibition room is at ground level, beach side on the south west corner of the building.  Info about the initiative can be accessed by QR code when there from a mobile phone.
• Due to COVID restrictions on holding group auctions and high commissions by online auction companies, all 7 remaining paintings will be sold by ‘Silent Auction’.
• Based on my usual sale prices there is a reserve of £800 on each painting. All are framed.
• Simply email your maximum bid in pounds using the ‘Contact Me’ option on this site. Your bid will be logged and on November 23rd, the winner of each painting will be contacted by me.
• Bids are welcome from any country worldwide by email.
• Only register a bid if you are 100% serious as it will be considered binding.
• Payment should be made by bank transfer within 48 hours of being notified. Non-payment will mean the sale is forfeited to the second highest bidder.
• The buyer is responsible for collection, or packaging or shipping costs on top of the price of the painting.
• Eight Miles Away is an initiative of eight paintings for eight homeless people to make a fresh start.
• All funds from the sales of the original paintings plus worldwide print sales will be administered by Sanctuary Supported Living who specialise in working with homeless 16-25-year olds in this city.  They will get the funds raised to the individual recipients.
